I love apples....
So I just got my computer back from having to get an new logic board put in it and a new disk drive. It was rough. My computer was very sad, but he is back and doing fine right now. I decided that I would share a funny article from cracked.com to help reinforce my love for macs....despite my recent hardware setbacks. what can i say: once you go mac you never go back...
If Everything Was Made by Microsoft
|
Back in the 90s, it looked like Microsoft might take over the world. But after ten years, Vista, the iPod, and a government lawsuit, we feel pretty safe saying that's not happening. But we're equally certain that it won't be for a lack of trying. Whether they're unleashing the Zune or hip new Microsoft Stores, their ambition is only matched by their painful lack of self awareness. So how long until they try their hand at making, well, everything else? We asked you to show us what the world might look like if it really did run on Microsoft. The winner is below, but first the runners up. #18.

The 2 Sides of Camera Magic
So I was going over some stuff on Vimeo and came across some videos i've bookmarked. When people ask why I do what i do....why i love cameras and the capture of an image....its always hard for me to explain. So here are 2 videos that will help explain everything for me.
This first one is amazing. This is 100% real even though everything looks tiny. Behold the power of tilt-shift time lapse photography....
Bathtub IV from Keith Loutit on Vimeo.
This next video is equally amazing. 1000fps! (for those who may not be up on their frames per second...24 or 30 are typical of film and video) It's beautiful.
I-Movix SprintCam v3 NAB 2009 showreel from David Coiffier on Vimeo.
Without the power of the camera it is impossible for us to see either of these things. We can't get the overall story or the minor detail. The human is stuck seeing the world in limited view.
